This table and the following examples represent sculptural furniture I’ve been making recently. I begin with salvaged materials, cut them apart, re-fabricate and combine them with parts that I forge and fabricate. For years, I’ve made sculptures that are influenced by the industrial landscape and the vernacular of utility. The tables allow me to continue to make sculptural forms with a functional application. And though much larger than the boxes, oil cans and other vessels I make, the furniture shares similar materials along with the same intense attention to detail in design and craftsmanship.
